    • The Cork Museum, the discovery of a wonderful natural world in Porto

Cork and Porto are intimately linked since each bottle of this delicious Portuguese fortified wine is closed with a cork stopper, a 100% sustainable and versatile material. Upon arrival, a magnificent cork oak welcomes you, a surprising replica that introduces this unique visit.

Sound, image, decoration… everything is done to immerse you in the ecosystem where cork evolves, offering you a fun and interactive experience around this material. From harvesting to the production of corks, from nature to transformation, discover all the secrets of cork and its usefulness that goes beyond the wine world.

Interior decoration, world architecture, NASA rocket, surfboard, handbag or jewelry, cork is incredible and allows you to give free rein to your imagination. Creativity has no limits in Portugal, the largest cork producing country on the planet.

The little extra: an audio guide is available in Portuguese, English, Spanish, French, German and Korean

Immerse yourself in a unique cultural district in Porto, where museums are gathered as well as a temporary exhibition and restaurants to experience a memorable day in Vila Nova de Gaia.

Very educational with great production value. You get to learn about the cork process from its origin all the way to how it's harvested and produced. You also get the option to produce your own laser-etched cork at the end for 1€.

Unexpectedly amazing! Although the entrance price was quite steep at €20 per person, we found the museum and its insights fascinating. There were quite a few interactive exhibits and we now know more about cork than we ever thought we would. There weren’t many visitors when we went so we were able to enjoy the museum at a leisurely pace. Overall, it took us about 1.5 hours to get through
