Founded in 1859, this winery is one of the best known and most visited in Porto, and we understand why. You start with an independent visit to the museum, a very fun moment to discover the smells, the colors and the land. Then the visit begins (in French) and takes you into the cellars for a presentation of the different Port wines and the manufacturing stages. At the end of the course, a tasting of 2 or 3 glasses is offered to appreciate the famous Portuguese nectar. The setting takes nothing away from this gourmet getaway with a privileged view of the Ponte Luís I. Lovers of the arts and good wine can hang out to watch an evening fado show in the Cálem cellars.
