Boat Douro River Ferry, a magnificent crossing on the Douro River to Porto

Discover the city in a different way aboard one of the two boats called rabelas, reproductions of rebalos which were at the time flat-bottomed boats used to transport port wine from the Douro Valley to the cellar.

Their function has evolved since today these boats named "Serra do Pilar" and "Casa do Infante" (in honor of the two cities, Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia) invite you to cross the river with a breathtaking view of the Douro and the Luis I Bridge. A few minutes are enough to reach the other bank from Ribeira de Porto or Cais de Gaia, sit comfortably and enjoy the crossing.

Tickets can be purchased online or at the dock with a maximum of 28 people per boat. Rest assured, the trips are regular from 10am to sunset so you don't get stuck on either side.
